All Timothy Mark pieces are made in our workshops in Dorset by individual makers of the highest calibre, most of whom have been working with us for about a decade.
Tenon jointing and dovetailing is handcrafted to the highest standards. Cabinets are made in a framed panel construction using fielded and mirrored solid panels. Pieces are finished all around so that they sit comfortably in the middle of the room as against the wall. Drawer linings and internals are made from the same wood as the remainder of the piece. This is possibly the only furniture available for which this is the case. Our furniture is not stained (unless specifically requested) as we believe that this diminishes the natural beauty of the wood which will change over time. Pieces are hand finished - normally in oil and wax though French Polishing or other finishes are available on request.
Each piece is individually numbered with th Timothy Mark makers' plate in hallmarked silver - for funiture this in engraved with an individual piece number, makers' identification and date.
